The International Science Council (ISC) has just published announcements about the Distinguished Lecture Series on “Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development” that is being organised by nine of its scientific councils, including the International Geographical Union (IGU), the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS) and the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG).
