IAG/NZGS 2021 Combined Conference moves online

29th June 2021

Due to the recent changes to Covid-19 restrictions for Greater Sydney, the IAG/NZGS Conference Organising Committee/The University of Sydney reached the difficult decision to move this year’s conference to online only.  This is disappointing for all involved, but was the right decision to ensure that we are able to deliver a safe, enjoyable and high quality conference for all attendees.

You can still register for this entirely online conference – see: https://www.sydney.edu.au/science/news-and-events/events/iagnzgs2021-conference.html

In addition to ten keynote presentations, great conference panels and three packed days of awesome sessions reflecting the dynamic character of contemporary geography we are delighted to highlight the following inclusions in this year’s conference for all registrants:

1. The unique opportunity to join a Virtual Fieldtrip(s) to coastal Sydney.
2. A slide deck on academic publishing, via Publishing 101 with Wiley, the publisher of Geographical Research and other leading journals.
3. Indigenous posters and an excellent video on the process of making these posters
4. Film sessions
5. A virtual café for geographers to meet online

Thank you for your understanding as we make this the best possible online conference for geographers and friends.

Best wishes, Phil McManus
