Call for abstracts

Institute of Australian Geographers (IAG) and New Zealand Geographical Society (NZGS) Combined Conference 2021

Theme:  Remembering, reimagining geography
Venues: The University of Sydney and online
Dates: 6-9 July, 2021

The conference organisers are delighted that there are 39 sessions with open calls for abstracts (in addition to keynote speakers, panels, films and other events).  Each session proposal has a number and a title so that it is easy to find, and there is a pdf with further details of session organisers, email contacts and the session abstract.  The link is: https://www.sydney.edu.au/science/news-and-events/events/iagnzgs2021-conference.html

The abstracts timeline is:

  • 21 February 2021: Call for abstracts
  • 5 April 2021: Abstracts close
  • 24 April: Abstract confirmation

The Primary Session Proposer (identified with email contact in the pdf at https://www.sydney.edu.au/science/news-and-events/events/iagnzgs2021-conference.html) will organise the sessions in the first instance, working on the basis of 80 minute sessions and most commonly 4 x 15 minute presentations with 5 minutes for questions and transition.  Further submission details will become available in early March prior to the 5 April deadline.

We look forward to many engaging and dynamic sessions at the 2021 IAG NZGS Combined Conference.
