In 2026, we are pleased to offer a series of webinars focused on the theme of the geographies of care. Geographies of care examine how care is organised, distributed, and experienced across space, scale, and time. Rather than treating care as private or interpersonal, work in this field shows how care is produced through places, institutions, infrastructures, environments, and mobilities. Across human, social, political, economic, cultural, health, environmental, development and other subdisciplines of geography, care appears as labour, relation, ethic, governance problem, and ecological practice. Attention is given to uneven valuation, responsibility, and exposure, and to how power shapes who provides care and under what conditions. Geographies of care therefore analyse the spatial arrangements that sustain, displace, or exhaust care, and their material and political consequences.
Every month on the first Tuesday of the month until 1 December 2026 - 10 occurrences
