The IAG Conference
The IAG Conference is the annual meeting of the Institute of Australian Geographers, aiming to promote and advance the discipline of geography. Participants from academic, non-profit, government, business, research, and other institutional backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

Forthcoming IAG Conferences:
Preparations are well underway for the Institute of Australian Geographer’s Conference in Newcastle in 2025. The conference will take place in the heart of the city at Newcastle’s iconic City Hall and the University’s modern NUSpace building.
The Conference Website is now open and can be accessed through this link: https://www.iag25newcastle.com.au. The theme for 2025 is – ‘Emergent Geographies’ and the banner for the website has been designed by one of our own PhD students – Jessica Lemire.
The Conference Website also has the dates when Calls for Sessions and Abstracts will take place as well as a button to "Express your interest" in attending the Conference. More information will be added in the New Year, and as we get closer to the event.
