Membership information - How do I join the IAG?
Conferences - Overseas:
The IAG has a fund to support early career geographers to attend the four yearly Congresses of the International Geographical Union (IGU). Applications are therefore invited for support to attend the 2008 Congress in Tunis .
To be eligible, applicants must be members of the IAG and either postgraduate students or early career geographers who graduated with a postgraduate degree within the last five years (ie 2003 onwards). Subject to a cap on the overall level of funding, it is hoped that individuals will receive support of up to $2000.
Applications should be sent to the IAG Treasurer (Stewart Williams) by close of business of 31 March 2008. There is no set application form. However, applicants should provide proof of their planned attendance in Tunis, the title of any paper(s) to be presented, and an indication of the expenses incurred in attending the Congress.
